This year for the first time ever I entered a couple of sportives and so with it an increased mileage. I was pleased to manage an extra 195.61 miles in comparison with 2015.
2017 brings new opportunity as always and the plan is to maintain lower weight and continue to use cycling as a way of staying healthy, both physically and mentally.

January has been a good start to 2016. I’ve set myself the target of 2,314 miles in 2016, and so far I’ve done just over 217 miles, which is 9% of the target for the year.

In one sense I’m very pleased with 350 miles but keen to increase that in 2016 with the new exercise plan I’m currently using.

I’ve got back on the bike a lot more for commuting and getting to and from my various meetings leading to the following stats on my Garmin:

- Elevation Gain: 527 ft
- Avg Speed: 13.0 mph
- Calories: 1,161 C
These are certainly not amazing stats, but it is has been a good step up for me this week, and helped me to lose 4 pounds which is always a good thing!
